What makes the Skimovie race track a unique and fully automated skiing experience?
This is where your race begins – at the Skiline start house. At the entrance, you’ll find a ski pass scanner and a turnstile. This registers your run and ensures, from a safety perspective, that only one skier is on the track at a time.
The previous skier has crossed the finish line – the next run can begin. The turnstile now unlocks your already registered run, the countdown starts, the tension rises – and with the start signal, the race begins. Just like in a real ski race, every hundredth of a second counts. The digital display boards show the audience the race time live. Information boards explain exactly how the system works, how to use the app, and where to access your personal race experience.
The Skimovie system records the race time and the entire run is captured as a branded video.
You can view, download and compare it with your previous best performances in the Skiline app or the Skiline widget on the ski resort’s website. You can also check out other skiers’ top times and compete with them for new records.
The start house is not just a real racing experience for skiers – it also offers huge benefits to ski resorts. The spacious design provides ample room for branding and advertising. An integrated turnstile system ensures maximum safety, only unlocking once the previous skier has crossed the finish line.
